What the workshop does

Four kinds of work go through the workshop: French polishing, all types of furniture repair and restoration, furniture making and cabinetry, and chair seating in cane, bergère, rush and cord.

Craig describes it as a small business offering a professional and friendly service. Phone him for an estimate, or just for some advice.

What people say

Craig’s Yell listing shows 5.0 from 10 reviews (archived June 2025). Most of them are about family pieces: a grandfather’s dining table, an inherited table and chairs, an uncle’s nursery chair.

Perth had over six hundred wrights in the burgh between 1700 and 1840. The furniture they and their successors made is still in Perthshire homes, and some of it ends up on Craig’s bench.
